From Hollywood actress to storyteller, environmental educator, and St. Louis “west county” mom, Gale welcomes this opportunity to share her talents with PWT. Gale loves incorporating her passions for story, acting, movement and music within the profound experience of PWT’s social artistry and community healing. It is a pleasure to be part of this ensemble of creative, wise, funny, fun and compassionate individuals in the noble act of listening and “playing back” someone’s personal story. A graduate of Stephens College with a BFA in Theater, Gale is a teaching and performing artist with Springboard to Learning & Young Audiences of St. Louis and COCA (Center of Creative Arts). As a professional storyteller, she is co-founder of Storytellers Side by Side, a regional teller for the annual St. Louis Storytelling Festival (sponsored by UMSL during the first week of May), a member of MO-TELL and St. Louis Gateway Storytellers, and a featured storyteller at MO-TELL’s 2001 Storytelling Festival. She is also an accredited Tai Chi Chih® instructor, offering classes through SLCC-Meramec. For 13 years Gale was a volunteer teacher-naturalist at MBG’s Shaw Nature Reserve and now leads small groups in nature awareness activities along with being an “eco-teller” for environmental organizations and events.
